How Beets Help With Weight Loss

The scripture for the day is found in Isaiah 58:8 (KJV) – The shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy reward.
Today we are discussing “Beets” and how they can help with weight loss.
Beets are a vegetable that is a good source of folic acid, manganese, potassium, iron, calcium and fiber, which act as a natural source of antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and detoxification support. These nutrients in beets may help you maintain your body health in the following areas:
– Lower blood pressure
– Fight cancer
– Boost your stamina
– Increase mental health
– Assist bone development
– Improve iron absorption and
– Maintain healthy functioning kidney and liver
– Support the digestive system
The only disadvantage in eating beets is that it has the highest sugar content of all the vegetables so you should eat it in moderation. I know some people don’t like the taste of beets but you can enjoy them in a variety of ways. You can have beets in a salad, as a side vegetable for lunch or dinner or as a juice. Some of the beet juice recipes I found on the web, that may help you lose some weight:
– Beetroot Zinger – this combines the sweetness of beets, with tangy ginger and apple juice. This drink gives you a lot of fiber which will curb your appetite and it boost your immunity.
– Detoxer – this combines beets with celery stalks, spinach, a bunch of cilantro and a tbsp. sea salt. This mixture helps the body get rid of toxins and waste and gives a good cleanse.
– Vitamin A Kicker – this combines beets with carrots and oranges to give you a tangy flavor. This mixture has antioxidants and fiber to give you lots of energy so it’s best to start your day off with this drink in the morning.
– Royal Colors – this combines beets with grapes and plums to also give you fiber mixed with loads of energy that can be used as a pick-me up in the mid-afternoon.
– Go-To-Drink – this combines beets with kale, swiss chard leaves, parsley, pineapple, green apples, sprig fresh mint and lemon (peeled). The parsley and beets act as a natural diuretic, helping you to eliminate excess fluid from the body.
I enjoy eating beets so I tried my own version of the Beetroot Zinger and the Vitamin A Kicker and I loved it! The results were not only great tasting but it also helped me to get rid of some inflammation I was having in my right leg. So give beets a try for the first time or add them to your current weight loss plan and enjoy all the benefits, they offer.
